Verder heeft Erik enorm uitgepakt. Naast een heerlijk verjaardagsontbijt (yoghurt met vers fruit, vers gebakken brood, dit keer met rozijnen, en een heerlijk zachtgekookt eitje) en dito avondmaal (witte-kool-salade met ham, worteltjes, mais,m appeltje en rozijntjes), heeft hij een echte lange-vinger-taart gemaakt, maar dan niet met lange vingers maar met chocolade koekjes, en poedersuiker ipv slagroom, maar wel met een overheerlijke choclade “saus” van cote d’or. Een enorme verassing! Van het voornemen om een paar kilo lichter terug te komen van deze reis, komt niets meer terecht.

Herb had ook een verjaardags-verassing in petto. Tropical Storm Andrea (de categorie net onder de lichtste Hurricane categorie) komt eraan en volgt as maandag mogelijk een traject over het eiland Flores; het eiland waar we maandag of dinsdag juist wilden aankomen.
